Various forms of austerities mesmerising devotees

Simhastha Mahakumbh at Ujjain has turned out to be carrier of Indian Sanatan Dharma, culture, and spiritualism. Devotees from country and abroad are returning with memories of pleasant experiences during Simhastha. They are mesmerized to see unique religious practices of saints and seers.

Many forms of austerities practiced by saints and seers are visible in Simhastha Mela. In Dutt Akhara zone, Naga Baba Shri Harvansh Giri from Atal Akhara Ashadoi Mata Ashram, Rajasthan is practicing penance for human welfare while standing for last 6 years continuously. Along with performing his daily chores, he also sleeps, take food etc while standing. He informed that his religious practice would continue for 12 years and conclude at Haridwar in year 2022. A number of other saints and seers can also be seen doing religious practices with Dhooni even in this scorching heat. Near ancient Kshipra Mandir at Ramghat, a Sadhu is seen blessing devotees by playing on cymbals with both hands with a Kalash on his hand. Devotees are thrilled to see these Sadhus engrossed in unique and arduous religious practices in Mela area. They relish seeking blessings of Naga Sadhus most.

Devotees are getting shelter free of cost in Ashrams of saints and seers in entire Mela area. It is a pleasing experience to see free stay and food arrangements and devotees engrossed in discourses in the morning and evening in various Ashrams.

तप के रूप अनेक सम्मोहित हो रहे श्रद्धालु

सिंहस्थ महाकुंभ भारतीय सनातन धर्म, संस्कृति एवं अध्यात्म का संवाहक बन चुका है। देश एवं विदेशों से आये श्रद्धालु अपनी यादों को संजोये वापस लौट रहे हैं। महाकुंभ में आये साधु-संतों की कठिन तपस्या देखकर श्रद्धालु सम्मोहित हो रहे हैं। सिंहस्थ मेला में साधु-संतों के कई रूप में तपस्या देखने को मिल रही है। दत्त अखाड़ा क्षेत्र में अटल अखाडे़ आशादोई माता आश्रम राजस्थान जयपुर से आये नागा बाबा श्री हरवंश गिरि 6 साल पहले भादों माह से जन कल्याण की आकांक्षा के साथ खडे़ रहकर तपस्या कर रहे हैं। वे अपनी दैनिक क्रियाओं के साथ ही सोना, भोजन आदि भी खड़े रहकर ही करते हैं। उनकी यह कठिन तपस्या 12 वर्ष तक चलेगी, जो हरिद्वार में सन् 2022 में होने वाले कुंभ में पूरी होगी। इसी तरह भीषण गर्मी में साधु-संत धूनी लगाकर पूजा करते सहज रूप में देखे जा सकते हैं। रामघाट में प्राचीन क्षिप्रा मन्दिर के पास एक साधु सिर पर कलश रखकर दोनों हाथ में मजीरा बजाते हुए भक्तिभाव मे लीन रहकर दुआयें देते नजर आते हैं। मेला क्षेत्र में इस तरह की कठिन तपस्या में लीन साधुओं को देखना श्रद्धालुओं को रोमांचित कर देता है। नागा साधुओं का दर्शन करना तथा उनका आर्शीवाद प्राप्त करना श्रद्धालुओं को सबसे अधिक भाता है। पूरे मेला क्षेत्र में साधु-संतों के आश्रमों में श्रद्धालुओं को शरण मिल रही है। आश्रमों में ठहरने से लेकर, निःशुल्क भोजन व्यवस्था तथा सुबह और शाम होने वाले प्रवचनों में आस्था से सराबोर श्रद्धालुओं को देखना सुखद अनुभूति का अनुभव करवाता है।
