Steps to Tackle Vehicular Pollution 
 

 

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has taken the following steps to tackle the problem of vehicular pollution:

I.Introduction of alternate fuels:-

 

  1. Flex Fuel ethanol notified vide G.S.R. 412 (E) dated 19.05.2015 and GSR 176 (E) dated 16.02.2016permitting usage of flex fuel i.e. E85, ED95 and E100  ethanol based fuels.
  2. Bio Diesel notified vide G.S.R. 412 (E) dated 11.04.2016.
  3. Bio-CNG notified vide G.S.R. 498 (E) dated 16.06.2015.
  4. Rtrofitment of Hybrid Electric Vehicles notified vide GSR 629 (E) dated 24.06.2016.

 

  1. BS-VI fuel emission norms notified vide G.S.R. 187 (E) dated 19.02.2016.
