Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and Skill Development Minister Mr. Premprakash Pandey has extended hearty congratulations to the 364 youth of Chhattisgarh, who have glorified the name of the state with their selection in Indian Army. Skill Department, Technical Education and Employment Department had started a pre-training programme through Employment Exchange Offices, for encourage participation of youth to actively participate in Indian Army Recruitment Rally.

On the special initiative of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, recruitment rally for Indian Army, Air Force and Navy is being organized in Chhattisgarh. Youth of Chhattisgarh have performed exceedingly well in these rallies and glorified the name of the state. In the Indian Army Recruitment rally held in Rajnandgaon this year in March, youngsters of the state maintained their record of tremendous performance. Recently declared results show that total 364 youth have been selected for Indian Army. This includes 318 for general military duties, 25 as military trademen, and 21 youth for military technicians. In Raigarh, recruitment rally was held from May 16 to May 20, wherein 63 youth from 27 districts of state were selected in the final round of Indian Air Force recruitment.

Director, Employment and Training, Mr. Vivek Acharya informed about army recruitment rally that a training session was organized for encouraging participation of youth in recruitment rally and for providing free coaching to the candidates, who have cleared the physical fitness training. As a positive result of which, the number of youth getting selected in such rallies is increasing significantly. Earlier, due to lack of eligible applicants these vacancies of the state used to get transferred to other states. But in last few years, Indian Army and Air Force Recruitment Rally is being organized regularly in Chhattisgarh. This year recruitment rally for Navy will also be organized in Raipur.
