Union Home Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh late yesterday evening said that the contribution of  10 Aspirational Districts of Chhattisgarh will be crucial for the rise in growth rate  of the entire country. Mr. Rajnath Singh was reviewing the implementation of several developmental projects in the Aspirational Districts along with Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh at a high-level meeting at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan).
The Union Minister while detailing the five primary objectives of Central Government elicited responses from the senior officers. The top objectives include - health and nutrition, education, agriculture and irrigation, fiscal convergence, skills development, basic infrastructure development- .Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is keen on the people's participation in various sectors of development. Blue print should be prepared as soon as possible with close co-ordination of various departments and ministries.
Mr. Rajnath Singh appreciated the rapid development of all the districts including Aspirational Districts and the inspirational leadership of Dr. Raman Singh. The Union Minister added that the integrated development of Chhattisgarh State is being appreciated all over the country.  Several new projects had been initiated here and emulated all over the country.    Naya Raipur is a shining example. Mr. Rajnath Singh said that growth rate is around 7.2 % in the country. In the race for growth some states are left behind. There are immense possibilities in these backward states. Mr. Modi is stressing on the up-liftment of  backward districts. 115 Aspirational Districts had been selected for this specific purpose. All the seven districts of Bastar Division, Rajnandgaon, Mahasamund and Korba districts are included.
The Union Home Minister appreciated the strenuous efforts of the concerned departments. If the Aspirational Districts are developed then the Growth Rate of the entire country will increase rapidly. Facilities should be provided to the farmers and innovative methods should be adopted in agriculture. The income of farmers should be doubled. Mr. Rajnath Singh said that just like India jumped 30 spots in the list of Ease of Doing Business Global List similarly Aspirational Districts also can jump rankings. While referring to Bastaria Battalion he appreciated the enthusiasm of youth of Bastar.
Mr. Rajnath Singh said that great work is being done in the fields of health, nutrition, education, farming and irrigation, fiscal covergence and skills' upgradation in all the districts. Niti Ayog in its presentation in the presence of Mr. Narendra Modi had explained the rapid progress in the Aspirational Districts and added that State Model should be emulated by  others. Dr. Raman Singh said that the State received sound guidance from Mr. Rajnath Singh. While appreciating the constitution of District Minerals' Fund (DMF), Dr. Raman Singh said that the huge funds generated are helping the backward districts tremendously. Union Home Minister appreciated that the State tops the list of Skills' up- gradation all over the country. The meeting was informed that Dantewada Education City Hub is being replicated at Sukma, Bijapur and Korba. Regarding medical facilities, it was mentioned that 'Hat Hospitals' at Sukma and Narayanpur's  'Swasth Saathi Yojana' are being highly appreciated. 'Hamar Swasth' Mobile App is being used at Rajnandgaon. The youth are being aligned at Kondagaon district with organic farming to provide employment. Organic farming is highly successful in Dantewada. Home Minister Mr. Ramsevak Paikra, Chief Secretary Mr. Ajay Singh,  Additional Chief Secretary Home  Mr. B. V. R. Subrahmanyam, Principal Secretary to Chief minister Mr. Aman Kumar Singh,  several senior officials were also present.
