Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today expressed his deep condolences on the sad demise of senior journalist Mr. Govindlal Vora. In his death, golden era in Chhattisgarh journalism had come to an end. Dr. Raman Singh added that Mr. Vora was a simple man, easy to get along with and was one of the finest and brightest journalists in the entire State. He served journalism for six long decades. His demise is an irreparable loss to Hindi journalism. It may be recalled that Mr. Vora was former Editor of Nav Bharat daily and Chief Editor of 'Amrut Sandesh' for the past 34 years. He died late last night at a private hospital in New Delhi.
 Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh is currently touring district headquarter town Kondagaon as a part of State-wide 'Vikaas Yatra'. He disclosed the sad news at his Press briefing this morning. Dr. Raman Singh and assembled journalists observed silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul. Higher Education Minister Mr. Premprakash Pande and State Civil Supplies Corporation Chairperson Ms. Lata Usendi and several journalists paid homage to Mr. Govindlal Vora.
Dr. Raman Singh said that Mr. Vora had been undergoing medical treatment at a private hospital in New Delhi but passed away last night leaving a void in the field of Hindi Journalism. In a condolence message released in the capital Dr. Raman Singh remembered his long association with Mr. Vora and said that they would discuss various issues relating to the welfare of State and the nation. He received blessings from him always. Apart from being a journalist Mr. Vora was a serious thinker and great writer. His articles in various newspapers and periodicals guided the readers and the society.
Dr. Raman Singh expressed his deep sympathies to the members of the bereaved family and prayed for peace to his departed soul.
