 Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today said that Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country to construct more than six lakh houses under ‘Pradhanmantri Awaas Yojana’. He met Union Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar at his office here.

On the chief minister’s demand, the union minister assured him that sanction will soon be given for constructing three lakh additional houses under the ‘Pradhanmantri Awaas Yojana’. Secretary to CM Subodh Singh was present at the meeting.

The chief minister asked the union minister for inclusion of development blocks left in the all-season road scheme. The union minister gave the instruction to his officials to work in this regard. He assured that the Centre will provide all possible assistance towards completion of rural development related works in Chhattisgarh.
