Raipur : Cabinet Meeting

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today chaired cabinet meeting at Secretariat (Mahanadi Bhavan) and decided to consider the representations of government servants in the cases of compulsory retirement.

A circular will be issued for giving opportunity of representation against the order of compulsory retirement after government servants reach age of 50 years or complete 20 years of service. In the same sequence, representation committee will be constituted for deliberating upon the representations of head of departments, gazetted officers, and non-gazetted officers. Committees will be as follows-
To consider the representations received from heads of departments, a committee chaired by Chief Secretary will be constituted, in which Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary of Finance and Principal Secretary of Law Department will be the members. Additional Chief Secretary / Principal Secretary of General Administration Department will be the member-cum-coordinator of this committee.

For representations received from officials of first and second class, a committee chaired by Additional Chief Secretary nominated by Chief Secretary will be constituted. The committee will have Principal Secretary of the department concerned as the Member-cum-Coordinator of the committee and Principal Secretary of General Administration Department as the Member Secretary.

For deliberations on representations of Grade III & IV employees, committee led by Secretary of General Administration Department will be constituted. This committee will have Secretary of Administrative Department as Secretary and head of the department concerned as member-cum-coordinator.
