President of India’s message on the eve of National Day of Bahamas

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas on the eve of their National Day (July 10, 2016). 

In a message to Her Excellency Dame Marguerite Pindling, the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, the President has said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it is with pleasure that I convey warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day. 

India attaches high importance to her friendly relations with the Bahamas – characterized by a convergence of views on international issues of common concern. 

The recent visit of your Foreign Minister to India has contributed to the further enhancement of our mutual understanding. I am confident that our relations will further strengthen in the years to come. 

I take this opportunity to convey, to Your Excellency, my best wishes for your personal well-being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Bahamas.”
