On Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel’s initiative, first train from Gujarat carrying stranded labourers, students, distressed and critically ill people  belonging to Chhattisgarh has arrived at Bilaspur railway station today. District Administration has made all the necessary arrangements for their arrival. This train has brought nearly 1200 labourers and other people from Gujarat. This train reached Bilaspur via Ahmedabad, Godhra, Ratlam, Bina, Katni, Pendra Road. Passengers of this train included 20 people from Mungeli district, 53 people from Janjgir-Champa and 11 people from Durg district.

District Administration Bilaspur has appointed 80 medical staff for health check-up of passengers of this train. This includes 28 doctors, 14 lab technicians, and 22 para medical staff. Besides, 16 others have been appointed for coordination, and distribution of masks-sanitizers. 82 police personnel and 50 RPF personnel have been appointed for safety of the passengers. 56 officials-employees of Revenue and Panchayat, 70 bus drivers and 70 operators are available for escorting of the passengers. A team of 20 municipal employees has been appointed for sanitization of the railway station and its surrounding areas, and this entire arrangement has been monitored and coordinated by 30 administrative officials including SDM, Deputy Collector and Tehsildar were present.

District Administration had appointed its employees in each bogie. Once the train reached the station, passengers of four alternate bogies were made to get off the train systematically.  Before coming out of the train, all the passengers were provided hand sanitizers and masks. Health Department team was appointed at every gate of the railway station for health check-up and screening of the passengers. People belonging to other districts were made to exit via gate number 2. People belonging to Masturi were made to exit from gate number-3 and people belonging to other development blocks were made to exit from gate number-4. Buses were arranged for the labourers to reach their respective villages and districts, where they would be kept in quarantine center for prescribed period. 60 buses were made available for people of Bilaspur districts. Officials were appointed for getting the passengers boarded on buses of their respective destinations. Six 108-ambulances were also available outside the railway station.

15 Special Trains to be operated phase-wise for the return of labourers to Chhattisgarh from other states
Under Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel’s supervision, Chhattisgarh Government has planned to run 15 special trains for the return of labourers, students, distressed people, and patients (stranded due to lockdown) to Chhattisgarh from other states. State Government has decided to run these trains in phased out manner. To travel via these trains, it is compulsory for the passengers to do online registration via the link released by the state government.

The 15 trains facilitated by the Chhattisgarh Government for this purpose includes two trains from Ahmedabad to Bilaspur, one train from Vijaywada to Andhra Pradesh, one train from Amritsar Punjab to Champa, one from Viramgam Ahmedabad to Bilaspur Champa, three trains from Lucknow Uttar Pradesh to Raipur, two trains from Lucknow to Bhatapara, one train from Muzaffernagar Bihar to Raipur, one train from Delhi to Bilaspur, one train from Mehsana Gujarat to Bilaspur Champa, and two trains from Hyderabad Telangana to Bilaspur via Durg Raipur.
