Handloom and Handicrafts from North Eastern States

The Exhibition on Handloom and handicrafts from North Eastern States of India will be inaugurated jointly by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region (I/C), Youth and Sports (I/C), Prime Minister's Office, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space and Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Minister of State for Textiles (I/C), on May 30, 2016, at Central Cottage Industries Emporium, Janpath, New Delhi.
Shri Naveen Verma, Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region and Ms. Rashmi Verma, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, will be "Guests of Honour".
Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India Ltd, (CCIC), a premier organization under the aegis of Ministry of Textiles retails authentic and exclusive handicrafts and handlooms through its showrooms in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The products are being sourced from artisans and weavers including master craftpersons and National awardees from all over India.
In an endeavor to promote the rich cultural heritage of the North Eastern States of India, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region(DoNER) and Ministry of Textiles have undertaken a joint initiative to promote the handicrafts and handloom products of the North Eastern States of India by organizing an exhibition of high quality products from North Eastern Region at CCIC showroom in Delhi.
