हार्वर्ड विश्वविद्यालय में व्याख्यान देने वाले श्री भूपेश बघेल छत्तीसगढ़ के पहले मुख्यमंत्री

छत्तीसगढ़ में हुये अभिनवकारी प्रयोग पर शोध हेतु जल्द ही हार्वर्ड विश्वविद्यालय का एक दल करेगा दौरा
‘लोकतान्त्रिक भारत में जाति और राजनीति’ विषय पर चर्चा में होंगे शामिल
छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री श्री भूपेश बघेल प्रदेश के पहले सीएम हैं, जिन्हें हार्वर्ड विश्वविद्यालय से भारत सम्मेलन में शामिल होने के लिए आमंत्रित किया गया है। आदिवासी बहुल और कृषि प्रधान राज्य होने के नाते मुख्यमंत्री श्री बघेल का हार्वर्ड से निमंत्रण देश और राज्य के लिए गर्व का विषय है। हालांकि श्री बघेल को ‘लोकतान्त्रिक भारत में जाति और राजनीति’ विषय पर आयोजित चर्चा में आमंत्रित किया गया है, लेकिन वे यहाँ हाल ही में छत्तीसगढ़ में कृषि व उससे संबन्धित क्षेत्र में हुये अभिनवकारी पहल पर अपने अनुभवों को वहाँ उपस्थित नीति निर्माताओं और शोधकर्ताओं के समक्ष साझा करेंगे। साथ ही वे यहाँ आर्थिक मंदी के दौर में छत्तीसगढ़ में बढ़ी खरीदी सहित अन्य मुद्दों की जानकारी देंगे। हार्वर्ड विश्वविद्यालय के शोधकर्ताओं को प्रदेश की महत्वाकांक्षी योजना नरवा, गरवा, घुरवा और बारी योजना ने इतना प्रभावित किया है कि उन्होंने प्रदेश में अध्ययन व शोध की अपनी इच्छा भी प्रकट की है। वहीं, विश्वविद्यालय के छात्र वर्षा जल का संचय कर भूजल स्तर बढ़ाने की विधियों पर शोध करेंगे।
बता दें, दिसम्बर में अमेरिकी काउंसल जनरल डेविड रेंज छत्तीसगढ़ के दौरे पर आए थे, इस दौरान उन्होंने छत्तीसगढ़ सरकार की आर्थिक योजनाओं को करीब से देखा था। साथ ही आदर्श गोठान का जायजा भी लिया था। वहीं, इससे पहले जुलाई में भारत में अमेरिका के राजदूत केनेथ आइ जस्टर भी छत्तीसगढ़ के दौरे पर आ चुके हैं।
हार्वर्ड जैसे प्रतिष्ठित संस्थान से व्याख्यान के लिए आमंत्रित किया जाना एक बड़ी उपलब्धि है। दुनिया के श्रेष्ठ शैक्षणिक संस्थानों में शामिल हार्वर्ड विश्वविद्यालय के भारत सम्मेलन का सालाना आयोजन भारत से जुड़े समकालीन विषयों पर संवाद, परिचर्चा आदि के लिए किया जाता है, जिसमें दुनिया भर की नामी हस्तियाँ हिस्सा लेती हैं। यह आयोजन लोगों को जोड़ने के दुनिया का सबसे बड़े मंचों में से एक है।
अमेरिका के बोस्टन में स्थित हार्वर्ड विश्वविद्यालय विश्व के उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों में गिना जाता है। यहाँ प्रवेश पाना हर किसी का सपना होता है और यहाँ से पढ़ कर निकलने वाला एक अलग ही मुकाम हासिल करता है। हार्वर्ड से अब तक कई अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति पढ़ाई कर चुके हैं। इसके अलावा कई नोबल पुरस्कार विजेता और दुनिया की मशहूर शख्सियतें भी हार्वर्ड में पढ़ चुकी हैं। छत्तीसगढ़ जैसे आदिवासी बहुल राज्य में विकास के क्षेत्र में हुये नवाचार को हार्वर्ड जैसे विश्वविद्यालय में साझा किया जाना देश और प्रदेश के लिए गर्व का विषय है।

CM to speak on “Caste and Politics in Democratic India”
Bhupesh Baghel will be the first Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh to have been invited to deliver a keynote address in Harvard India Conference. It is a matter of pride for a tribal-dominated and agriculture oriented state like Chhattisgarh.
Although the chief minister has been invited to a discussion on the topic 'Caste and Politics in Democratic India', he will share his experiences on recent innovative initiatives in agriculture and allied sectors in Chhattisgarh with policymakers and researchers present there. He will also provide information on various other issues, including an increase in purchasing power of the people of Chhattisgarh despite economic recession.
The researchers of Harvard University are so impressed by the state's ambitious scheme, Narwa, Garwa, Ghurwa and Badi scheme that they have expressed their desire to study and research on the scheme in the state. At the same time, the students in the university will research on how the optimum use of rainwater is promoted through water management structures, resulting in recharging the groundwater table.
It is noteworthy that in December last year, US Council General David Ranz visited Chhattisgarh, during which he had closely monitored the economic schemes of the Chhattisgarh government and had also inspected ‘Adarsh Gothan’. Last year in July also, US Ambassador to India Kenneth Ian Juster had visited Chhattisgarh.
Getting invited for a lecture from a prestigious institute like Harvard is a major achievement. The India Conference of Harvard University, one of the best educational institutions in the world, is held annually for dialogue, discussion etc. on contemporary topics related to India, in which eminent personalities from all over the world participate. The event is one of the world's largest forums for connecting people.
Harvard University in Boston is counted among the world's highest educational institutions. Many US presidents, Nobel laureates and famous personalities have studied at Harvard so far.
