Learned counsel for the petitioners at the very outset stated that he
confines this contempt petition to the petitioners of Writ Petition
No.5450 (SS) of 2013, (Radha Rathore & 14 ors vs. State of U.P. &
ors) i.e. petitioner Nos.1 to 5. He seeks to withdraw the contempt
petition so far as petitioner nos 6 to 13 are concerned with liberty to file
separate contempt petitions afresh.
The contempt petition in so far as petitioner nos. 6 to 13 are concerned
is dismissed as withdrawn with the aforesaid liberty.
As regards, petitioner nos. 1 to 5, it is submitted that though they are
entitled to the benefit of the observation/direction contained in the
judgment dated 1.2.2013 passed in Writ Petition No.190 (SS) of 2013
(Seema Singh and others vs. State of U.P. & ors) in view of the
judgment dated 17.9.2013 passed in the Writ Petition No.5450 (SS) of
2013, the same has not been extended to them though the benefit of
the said judgment has been made available to others.
Let learned counsel for the petitioner provide a copy of this writ petition
to Shri Santosh Kumar Warsi, learned Standing Counsel who shall
seek instructions in the matter.
List this case on 22.7.2015 as fresh.
