Section 327 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) in Hindi and English

327. सम्पत्ति उद्दापित करने के लिए या अवैध कार्य कराने को मजबूर करने के लिए स्वेच्छया उपहति कारित करना -

जो कोई इस प्रयोजन से स्वेच्छया कारित करेगा कि उपहत व्यक्ति से, या उससे हितबद्ध किसी व्यक्ति से, कोई संपत्ति या मूल्यवान प्रतिभूति उद्दापित की जाए, या उपहत व्यक्ति को या उससे हितबद्ध किसी व्यक्ति को कोई ऐसी बात, जो अवैध हो, या जिससे किसी अपराध का किया जाना सुकर होता है, करने के लिए मजबूर किया जाए, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि दस वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, दण्डित किया जाएगा और जुर्माने से भी दण्डनीय होगा।

327. Voluntarily causing hurt to extort property, or to constrain to an illegal act -

Whoever voluntarily causes hurt, for the purpose of extorting from the sufferer, or from any person interested in the sufferer, any property or valuable security, or of constraining the sufferer or any person interested in such sufferer to do anything which is illegal or which may facilitate the commission of an offence, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.
