167. कतिपय मामलों में प्रतिकर के लिए दावों के बारे में विकल्प -- जहां किसी व्यक्ति की मृत्यु या उसे हुई शारीरिक क्षति से इस अधिनियम के अधीन तथा कर्मकार प्रतिकर अधिनियम, 1923 (1923 का 8) के अधीन भी प्रतिकर के लिए दावा उद्भूत होता है वहां प्रतिकर पाने का हकदार व्यक्ति कर्मकार प्रतिकर अधिनियम, 1923 में किसी बात के होते हुए भी ऐसे प्रतिकर के लिए, अध्याय 10 के उपबंधों पर प्रतिकूल प्रभाव डाले बिना, दावा उन दोनों अधिनियमों में से किसी एक के अधीन कर सकेगा, दोनों के अधीन नहीं कर सकेगा।

167. Option regarding claims for compensation in certain cases -- Notwithstanding anything contained in the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1923 (8 of 1923) where the death of, or bodily injury to, any person gives rise to a claim for compensation under this Act and also under the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1923, the person entitled to compensation may without prejudice to the provisions of Chapter X claim such compensation under either of those Acts but not under both.
