38. विधि की पुस्तकों में अंतर्विष्ट किसी विधि के कथनों की सुसंगति -- जबकि न्यायालय को किसी देश की विधि के बारे में राय बनानी है, तब ऐसी विधि का कोई भी कथन, जो ऐसी किसी पुस्तक में अंतर्विष्ट है, जो ऐसे देश की सरकार के प्राधिकार के अधीन मुद्रित या प्रकाशित और ऐसी किसी विधि को अंतर्विष्ट करने वाली तात्पर्यित है, और ऐसे देश के न्यायालयों के किसी विनिर्णय की कोई रिपोर्ट जो ऐसी व्यवस्थाओं की रिपोर्ट से तात्पर्यिंत होने वाली किसी पुस्तक में अन्तर्विष्ट है, सुसंगत है।

38. Relevancy of statements as to any law contained in law books -- When the Court has to form an opinion as to a law of any country, any statement of such law contained in a book purporting to be printed or published under the authority of the Government of such country and to contain any such law, and any report of a ruling of the Courts of such country contained in a book purporting to be a report of such rulings, is relevant.
