20. संदिग्ध परिस्थितियों के अधीन आयुध, आदि का प्रवहण करने वाले व्यक्तियों की गिरफ्तारी -

जहां कोई व्यक्ति किन्हीं आयुधों या गोलाबारूद को चाहे उनके लिए अनुज्ञप्ति हो या न हो ऐसी रीति में या ऐसी परिस्थितियों के अधीन वहन करता हुआ या प्रवहण करता हुआ पाया जाए जिससे यह संदेह करने के न्यायसंगत आधार बनते हैं कि उसके द्वारा वे किसी विधिविरुद्ध प्रयोजन के लिए प्रयुक्त किए जाने के आशय से ले जाए जा रहे हैं या कि वे ऐसे प्रयोजन के लिए प्रयुक्त किए जा सकते हैं तो कोई मजिस्ट्रेट, कोई पुलिस आफिसर या कोई अन्य लोक सेवक अथवा किसी रेल, विमान, जलयान, यान या प्रवहण के किसी भी अन्य साधन में नियोजित या काम करने वाला कोई भी व्यक्ति उसे वारण्ट के बिना गिरफ्तार कर सकेगा और ऐसे आयुध या गोलाबारूद उससे अभिगृहीत कर सकेगा ।

20. Arrest of persons conveying arms, etc., under suspicious circumstances. ―

Where any person is found carrying or conveying any arms or ammunition whether covered by a licence or not, in such manner or under such circumstances as to afford just grounds of suspicion that the same are or is being carried by him with intent to use them, or that the same may be used, for any unlawful purpose, any magistrate, any police officer or any other public servant or any person employed or working upon a railway, aircraft, vessel, vehicle or any other means of conveyance, may arrest him without warrant and seize from him such arms or ammunition.
