शुन्यकरणीय संविदा के अधीन कब्जा रखने वाले व्यक्ति द्वारा गिरवी(Pledge by person in possession under voidable contract)

178-क. शुन्यकरणीय संविदा के अधीन कब्जा रखने वाले व्यक्ति द्वारा गिरवी -- जबकि पणयमकार ने अपने द्वारा गिरवीकृत माल का कब्जा धारा 19 या 19-क के अधीन शून्यकरणीय किसी संविदा के अधीन अभिप्राप्त किया हो, किन्तु संविदा गिरवी के समय विखंडित न हो चुकी हो, तो पणयमदार उस माल पर अच्छा हक अर्जित कर लेता है, परन्तु यह तब जबकि वह सद्भावपूर्वक और पणयमकार के हक की त्रुटि की सूचना के बिना कार्य करे।

178A. Pledge by person in possession under voidable contract — When the pawnor has obtained possession of the goods pledged by him under a contract voidable under section 19 or section 19A, but the contract has not been rescinded at the time of the pledge, the pawnee acquires a good title to the goods, provided he acts in good faith and without notice of the pawnor's defect of title.
