In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 4 of the Coir Industry Act, 1953 (45 of 1953), read with rules 4 and 5 of the Coir Industry Rules, 1954, the Central Government hereby appoints the persons mentioned in the Table below as the Members of the Coir Board for a period of three years from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, namely
