Acquisition of land in respect of National Highway No. 34

in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), The Central Government hereby authorizes The Additional District Magistrate (LA), North 24 Parganas as the Competent Authority to perform the function of such authorities under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, in respect of the Construction of ROBs in replacement of existing level crossings at km. 23.700 (at Barasat) of NH-34 (From Ch.21.800 to KM. Ch. 25.700) and at km. 3.25 (at Kazipara) of NH-35 (From Ch. 2.400 Km. Ch. 4.150 Km.) in the district of North 24 Paraganas, in the state of West Bengal, specified in the schedule given below.
