UTTAR PRADESH BHOOMI EVAM JAL SANRAKSHAN ADINIYAM, 1963
- : Preliminary :-
1. (1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Bhoomi Evam Jal Sanrakshan Adhiniyam,'"1963.
(2) It shall come into force at once in the districts mentioned in the First Schedule. In the remaining districts. it shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint in this behalf and different dates may be appointed for idifferent districts.

(1) "beneficiary" in relation to any land benifited or likely to be benefited by the execution of a plan means-
(a) in the case of land held by a bhumidhar or sirdar, such bhumidhar or sirdar , and
