THE THENGAL KACHARI AUTONOMOUS COUNCIL (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2017

ASSAM ACT NO. XII OF 2017

    An Act further to amend the Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council Act, 2005.

    Preamble:- Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council Act, 2005, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing;

    It is hereby enacted in the Sixty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short title, extent and commencement:-(1) This Act may be called the Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council (Amendment) Act, 2017.

(2) Itshall have the like extent as the principal Act.

(3) It shall corne into force at once.

2. Amendment of Section 9:- .In the principal Act, in section 9, in sub-section (1), for the words "a majority" appearing in between the words "carried by" and "of the", the words /I two-third majority" shall be substituted.
