THE SOCIETIES REGISTRATION (ASSAM FIFTH AMENDMENT) ACT, 1958

ASSAM ACT XI OF 1958

    An Act further to amend the Societies Registration Act, 1860, in its application to Assam.

    Preamble.-WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Act XXI of 1860) hereinafter called the Principal Act, in its aoplication to Assam in the manner hereinafter appearing ;

    It is hereby enacted in the Ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

l. Short tide, extent and commencement.-(1) This Act may be called the Societies Registration (Assam Fifth Amendment) Act, 1958.

(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Assam.

(3) It shall come into force with effect from 1st April, 1958.

2. Amendment of Section 19 of the Principal Act.- Substitute the words "fifteen naye paise" for the words "two annas" in between the words ''payment of" and "for every hundred words".
