Karnataka Entertainments Tax Act 1958

An Act to consolidate and amend the laws relating to the levy of tax on entertainments in the State of Karnataka.

WHEREAS it is expedient to consolidate and amend the laws relating to the levy of tax on entertainments in the State of Karnataka; BE it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the Ninth year of the Republic of India as follows:—

1. Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Karnataka Entertainments Tax Act, 1958.

(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Karnataka.
