Rajasthan Act No. 31 of 1952
An Act to validate certain laws of the former Indian State of Jaipur in Rajasthan.
Whereas doubts have arises in regard to the validity of certain laws of the former Indian State of Jaipur in Rajasthan;
And Whereas it is expedient to remove such doubts and to declare that all such laws have been validity enacted;
It is hereby enacted as follows:-
1. Short title. - This Act may be called the Jaipur Laws (Validating) Act, 1952.
2. Validation of certain Jaipur Laws. - Notwithstanding anything contained in the Jaipur Laws Act, 1924 or the Jaipur General Clauses Act, 1944, or in any other law or in any judgment, decree or order of any court, no Jaipur law shall be deemed to be, or over to have been, invalid by reason merely of the fact that such law was not published in the official Gazette or otherwise duly promulgated or published; and every such law shall, notwithstanding that it was not so promulgated or published, be deemed to have come into force on the date on which it was made and to have been or to be, in force until repealed by any competent legislative authority.
Explanation. - In this section "Jaipur Law" means any enactment or Regulation relating to any of the matters enumerated in Lists II and III of the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution made by a competent legislative authority before the 7th day of April, 1949 in respect of the former India State of Jaipur, now comprised in the State of Rajasthan.
