Goa Public Libraries Act, 1993

An act to provide for the establishment, maintenance and development of public libraries in the State of Goa and for matter ancillary thereto.

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Goa in the Forty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:—

1. Short title, extent and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called the Goa Public Libraries Act, 1993.

(2) It extends to the whole of State of Goa.

(3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, in the Official Gazette appoint.
