Goa, Daman and Diu Debt Relief Act, 1980

An act to provide relief from indebtedness to agricultural labourers, rural artisans, marginal farmers and small farmers in the Union territory of Goa, Daman and Diu.

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Goa, Daman and Diu in the Thirty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

CHAPTER I

Preliminary

1. Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Goa, Daman and Diu Debt Relief Act, 1980.

(2) It extends to the whole of the Union territory of Goa, Daman and Diu.

(3) It shall come into force with immediate effect.
