Goa Agricultural Produce Marketing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007

An act to provide for improved regulation in marketing of agricultural produce, development of efficient marketing system, promotion of agriprocessing and agricultural export and the establishment and proper administration of markets for agricultural produce in the State of Goa and to put in place an effective infrastructure for marketing of agricultural produce and lay down procedure and system thereto.

BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Goa in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows :-

CHAPTER I

Preliminary

1. Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Goa Agricultural Produce Marketing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007.

(2) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Goa.

(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
