 Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order (Amendment) Act, 2023

An Act further to amend the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950 to modify the list of Scheduled Castes in the State of Chhattisgarh.

BE it enacted by Parliament in the Seventy-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1. This Act may be called the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order (Amendment) Act, 2023. 

2. In the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950, in the Schedule, in Part XXIII.— Chhattisgarh, for entry 33, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:-

           "33. Mahar, Mahara, Mahra, Mehar, Mehra".
