THE ASSAM KHADI AND VILLAGE INDUSTRIES BOARD (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1970

ASSAM ACT XXVII OF 1971

    An Act further amend the Assam Khadi and Village Industries Boards Act, 1955.

    Preamble:- Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Khadi and Village Industries Boards Act, 1955, hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing;

    It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:—

1. Short title, extent and commencement:- (1) This Act may be called the Assam Khadi Village Industries Board (Amendment) Act, 1970

(2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act.

(3) It shall come into force at once

2. Amendment of section 7 of Assam Act xvi of 1955:- In Section 7 of the principal Act, in sub-section (1) the full-stop at the end shall be substituted by a comma and the following words, thereafter, followed:- 

“ Subject to prior approval of Government in the Finance Department.”
