THE ASSAM COURT-FEES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1960
ASSAM ACT No.XII OF 1960
An Act further to amend the Court-Fees Act, 1870 with reference to the sale of Court-Fees in Assam.
Preamble. - Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Court-Fees Act, 1870 (Act 7 of 1870), in its application to Assam, in the manner hereinafter appearing;
It is hereby enacted in the Eleventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:
1. Short title, extent and commencement. - (i) This Act may be called the Assam Court-Fees (Amendment) Act, 1960.
(ii) It extends to the whole of Assam.
(iii) It shall come into force with effect from the 1st April, 1960.
2. Amendment of Schedule II, Article 1 of Act 7 of 1870. - In Article 1 of Schedule II of the Court-Fees Act, 1870-
(1) in the second column of Clause (e) after the words "for any construction" the following words shall be inserted, namely:
"or any other purpose"; and
(2) after Clause (e) the following new clause in the second column and entry in the third column shall be added, namely:
"(f) When presented to an Appropriate Revenue Authority for demarcation of land
