THE ASSAM COURT FEES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1955

ASSAM ACT XXII OF 1955

    An Act further to amend the Court-Fees Act, 1870 (Act 7 of 1870).

    Preamble. - Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Court-Fees Act, 1870 (Act 7 of 1870) hereinafter called the Principal Act, in its application to Assam, in the manner hereinafter appearing;

    It is hereby enacted in the Sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short title, extent and commencement. - (1) This Act may be called the Assam Court-Fees (Amendment) Act, 1955.

(2) It extends to the whole of Assam.

(3) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of Schedule II, Article 11. -In Clause (c) in the Second Column in Article 11 of Schedule II to the Principal Act the words “or to the appellate Assistant Commissioner of Income-tax or to the appellate Tribunal, under Sections 30 and 33 respectively, of the Indian Income-tax Act, 1922” shall be deleted.
