THE ASSAM CONTINGENCY FUND (AUGMENTATION OF CORPUS) ACT, 1973

[Act No. 13 of 1973]

    An Act to augment temporarily the Corpus of the Contingency Fund of Assam.

    WHEREAS it is expedient to augment temporarily the Corpus of the Contingency Fund of Assam;

    It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:--

1. Short title and commencement:- (1) This Act may be called the Assam Contingency Fund (Augmentation of Corpus) Act, 1973.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2.  Further payment to the Contingency Fund :- There shall be paid by the State Government into the Contingency Fund of the State of Assam a further sum of Rupees ten crores out of the revenues of the State for the financial year 1973-74.

3. Re-transfer of Rupees ten crores from Contingency Fund to Consolidated Fund:- A sum of Rupees ten crores shall be re-transferred from the Contingency Fund to the Consolidated Fund of Assam on or before the 1st April, 1974.

4. Repeal and savings:- (1) The Assam Contingency Fund (Augmentation of Corpus) (No. 2) Ordinance, 1973 is hereby' repealed.

(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Ordinance as repealed shall be deemed to have been done or taken under this Act as if this Act had commenced on the twenty-first day of May, 1973 (Assam Ordinance VI of 1973) (date of promulgation of the Ordinance).
