THE ASSAM CONTINGENCY FUND (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1975

ASSAM ACT VII OF 1975

    An Act further fo amend the Assam Contingency Fund Act, 1950.

    Preamble:- Whereas it is expedient to amend the Assam Contingency Fund Act, 1950, here-in-after called the princi- pal Act;

    It is hereby enacted in the Twentysixth year of the Republic of India as follows :-

1. Short title and commencement:- (1)This Act may be called the Assam Contingency F und (Amendment) Act, 1975.

(2) It shall come into force at once and shall remain valid upto 31st March, 1976.

2. Amendment of Section 3 of Assam act IX of 1950:- In ithe principal Act, to Section 3, the following proviso shall be added:

Provided that during ithe period of operation of the Assam Contingency Fund (Amendment) Act:, 1975, a further sum of ten crores of rupees shall be paid from and out of the Consolidated Fund of ithe State of Assam into Lhe Contingency Fund of Assam.

The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Assam by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the ' year ending on the 31st day of March, 1976 and shall be re-tr·msierred from t he Contingency F und to the Consolidated Fund of Assam on or before the 1st April, 1976
