THE ASSAM CONTINGENCY FUND (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1960

ASSAM ACT No.XX OF 1960

    An Act to amend further the Assam Contingency Fund Act, 1950.

    Preamble:- Whereas it is expedient to amend further the Assam Contingency Fund Act, 1950, hereinafter called the Principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing; 

    It is hereby enacted in the Eleventh Year of the Republic of India as follows :-

1. Short title, extent and commencement:- (I) This Act may be called the Assam Contingency Fund (Amendment) Act, 1960.

(2) It shall have the like extent as the Principal Act.

(3) It shall come into force at once.

2. Deletion of Section 4 of Assam Act IX of 1950:- Section 4 of the Principal Act shall be deleted.

3. Substitution of Section 5 of Assam Act IX of 1950:- Section 5 of the Principal Act shall be renumbered as Section 4 and for the Section as so renumbered, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"4 "Power to make rules:- For the purpose of carrying out the object of this Act, the State Government may make rules regulating all matters connected with or ancillary to the custody of, the payment of moneys into and the withdrawals of moneys from, the Contingency Fund of the State of Assam."
